When you first open the door to the lobby, you are faced with what might as well be a "Stairway to Heaven" as you must climb 2 narrow flights of stairs to get there! BUT, as soon as the bellmen see the door open,

  • "Loved it"

This hotel was a last minute booking but I loved it. There was always men around waiting help with bags and they were really super friendly and always down for a chat. The front desk was awesome and we loved our little room with a super comfy bed. It's right next to a subway so it made it so easy to get around. It was surrounded by bars and restaurants and was really quiet at night. Would stay here again for sure !

Do note though that hotel doesn’t have a kitchen so no buffet. Bring a small kettle if you Want to make coffee in the room .

  • ""Stairway to Heaven" or "Bargain on Broadway""

When you first open the door to the lobby, you are faced with what might as well be a "Stairway to Heaven" as you must climb 2 narrow flights of stairs to get there! BUT, as soon as the bellmen see the door open, they literally run down the staircase to help you with your bags!!! And those guys are there for you for your entire stay, you just have to let them know you need them! That's very needed since there is no elevator. The front desk personnel, Marvin, Erin and Charisma (and anyone I missed) greet you with smiles and helpful info on your stay and how to maneuver around the city. All in all, a very friendly, helpful staff! Remembering that the building is 100 years old, the rooms are small. But, their housekeeping staff is WONDERFUL! All areas of my guestroom were well maintained and clean. I even checked the shelf over the closet: clean. Ceiling fan: clean! AC filter: clean! The bed was like a cloud after a long day in the city and the bedding was clean and yummy! I even enjoyed the pillows! The shower has great pressure and there is plenty of hot water! The "lounging" area is really nice. I loved sitting on the window seat and watching the people go by on Broadway! The one train is literally across the street and there are hundreds of dining options! Pro Tip: No in-room coffee pots, but they are directly above a Starbucks! They also have a microwave in the "Lounge" and a large pot of hot water, so, if you bring your own tea or instant coffee, you don't have to go out to get a warm morning drink! I call it a "Bargain on Broadway" because there aren't many nice places with such a convenient location for under $150.00 per night! I realize some nights can be more $$ than that, but some can be less too, so, i call this a bargain!!

  • Great location, comfortable accommadations

I recently stayed with my daughter & her husband sharing a double room. The space was comfortable, great beds w/ comforters. The bathroom was small but clean. The Metro was right across the street, a Starbucks next door - what more could one want! The lack of an elevator could prove a problem for folks with lots of luggage, but usually there is a doorman to help w/ luggage. You might be able to request a room on a lower floor if you book far enough in advance.
